Toda solidariedade ao Partido Comunista Marxista (PCMK) e ao povo queniano!<\/p>\n

O Partido Comunista Brasileiro (PCB) vem a p\u00fablico manifestar sua solidariedade para com o Partido Comunista Marxista do Qu\u00eania (CPM Kenya) e por seu interm\u00e9dio para com toda a classe trabalhadora do pa\u00eds irm\u00e3o africano.<\/p>\n

Nos \u00faltimos meses a sociedade queniana tem sido sacudida por grandes mobiliza\u00e7\u00f5es de massa contra as medidas econ\u00f4micas impopulares adotadas pelo governo da coaliz\u00e3o de centro-direita Kenya Kwanza (em Sua\u00edli, \u201cQu\u00eania Primeiro\u201d), encabe\u00e7ada pelo presidente William Ruto.<\/p>\n

A estas manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es o governo tem respondido com atitudes repressivas, em detrimento das necessidades do povo trabalhador daquele pa\u00eds. Mais recentemente, a\u00e7\u00f5es persecut\u00f3rias de car\u00e1ter intimidat\u00f3rio foram praticadas contra militantes e dirigentes do Partido Comunista Marxista do Qu\u00eania pelo aparato repressivo do governo e por seus apoiadores.<\/p>\n

Na madrugada do dia 10 de janeiro, um grupo de homens portando armamentos letais invadiu a resid\u00eancia do secret\u00e1rio geral do partido, Booker Omole, com o objetivo de elimin\u00e1-lo, tendo, contudo, fracassado em seus l\u00fagubres intentos. Em paralelo a este atentado, o presidente nacional do Partido, Mwaivu Kaluka, e outros dois militantes foram detidos ilegalmente em Momba\u00e7a e somente libertados como consequ\u00eancia de protestos p\u00fablicos e a\u00e7\u00e3o judicial.<\/p>\n

O Partido Comunista Brasileiro sa\u00fada os e as camaradas quenianos\/as pela resist\u00eancia demonstrada em face da ofensiva repressiva e pelo \u00e2nimo manifestado na defesa dos interesses da classe trabalhadora de seu pa\u00eds. Defendemos o desenvolvimento das investiga\u00e7\u00f5es que possam apontar os respons\u00e1veis pelo atentado contra a vida do camarada Omole e nos solidarizamos com a luta dos\/as comunistas quenianos\/as pela liberta\u00e7\u00e3o nacional, a democracia popular e o socialismo.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian Communist Party publicly expresses its solidarity with the Marxist Communist Party of Kenya (CPM Kenya) and through it with the entire working class of our sister African country. In recent months, Kenyan society has been shaken by large mass mobilizations against the unpopular economic measures adopted by the government of the center-right Kenya Kwanza coalition (in Swahili, \u201cKenya First\u201d), headed by President William Ruto.<\/p>\n

The government has responded to these demonstrations with repressive attitudes, to the detriment of the needs of the working people of that country. More recently, persecutory actions of an intimidating nature were carried out against militants and leaders of the Marxist Communist Party of Kenya, by the government’s repressive apparatus and its supporters.<\/p>\n

In the early hours of January 10, a group of men carrying lethal weapons invaded the residence of the party’s general secretary, Booker Omole, with the aim of eliminating him, having, however, failed in their dismal attempts. In parallel to this attack, the national president of the Party Mwaivu Kaluka and two other activists were illegally detained in Mombasa and only released as a result of public protests and legal action.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian Communist Party salutes the Kenyan comrades for the resistance shown in the face of the repressive offensive and for the enthusiasm shown in defending the interests of the working class in their country. We support the development of investigations that can identify those responsible for the attempt on Comrade Omole’s life and we sympathise with the struggle of Kenyan communists for national liberation, popular democracy and socialism.<\/p>\n
