Em 24 de março, o chefe da organização provincial do TKP em Istambul, Ahmet Dincel, o membro do Conselho do Partido Arda Hacıyusufoğlu e quatro outros membros do partido foram presos pela polícia. The demonstrations began in Istanbul following İmamoğlu’s detention last Wednesday and have since spread to more than 55 of Turkey’s 81 provinces, marking the largest wave of protests in the country in over a decade.

Turkish police have announced the arrest of over 1,100 people, including journalists and lawyers, since the protests began. On March 24, Ahmet Dincel, head of the TKP’s Istanbul provincial organization, party council member Arda Hacıyusufoğlu, and four other party members were detained by police. The pretext for these arrests was the TKP’s involvement in the Saraçhane protests in Istanbul against the recent crackdown in Turkey.

From the outset, the TKP has taken a clear stance, calling on the people of Turkey to organize against the arbitrary rule of Erdoğan’s AKP government. Protests have been held in multiple cities to defend voting rights and denounce the government’s repressive measures. The Erdoğan government’s crackdown on TKP comrades is part of a broader AKP strategy to shrink political space and undermine the fundamental democratic right of the Turkish people to engage in politics—but it is also a recognition of the strength and influence of Turkish communists in the growing opposition movement taking to the streets.

The Brazilian Communist Party expresses its full and unconditional solidarity with the comrades of the TKP. We demand the immediate release of all detained Turkish opposition figures and an end to the repression of the legitimate protests by workers and youth in Turkey.

FREEDOM FOR THE MILITANTS OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF TURKEY!

ERDOĞAN MUST GO!

Brazilian Communist Party
Central Committee
Secretariat of International Relations

http://www.solidnet.org/article/Brazilian-CP-Full-Solidarity-with-the-comrades-of-the-Communist-Party-of-Turkey

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[37,242,26,187
228,246
post-32680","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-c42-comunistas","category-eipco","category-c25-notas-politicas-do-pcb","category-turquia","tag-5b","tag-np
["GET
