PCB: Solidariedade internacionalista ao povo do Líbano

Aos camaradas do Partido Comunista Libanês,

O Partido Comunista Brasileiro expressa a mais sincera e internacionalista solidariedade com o povo libanês em geral, e com o Partido Comunista Libanês em particular, atingidos pela tragédia das explosões na área portuária de Beirute. Entendemos que, na difícil conjuntura em que vivemos, um incidente como esse dificulta ainda mais as políticas nacionais de solidariedade e pode ser uma abertura para tentativas neocolonialistas e imperialistas de interferência estrangeira no Líbano.

Reconhecemos, como vocês, as outras duas ameaças aos trabalhadores libaneses: a pandemia de Coronavírus e o colapso econômico em curso. Essas ameaças, integradas a partir dos projetos das classes dominantes libanesas e dos setores imperialistas que as sustentam, representam grandes derrotas para os trabalhadores do Líbano e, consequentemente, do mundo todo. No Brasil, o impacto do incidente em Beirute teve grande repercussão, em função de sermos o país com a maior população libanesa do mundo. A comunidade líbano-brasileira está buscando formas de auxiliar, inclusive com recursos financeiros, as medidas de contenção dos danos causados pela tragédia em Beirute. Os comunistas brasileiros cerram fileiras para fazer sua parte, ao entendermos que o internacionalismo proletário não é uma comunidade abstrata de interesses dos trabalhadores, mas um conjunto de práticas concretas de ajuda mútua entre nossa classe, independentemente de nacionalidade.

O PCB reafirma seu compromisso internacionalista e o compromisso comunista para com o PCL, nos dispondo para as ajudas que nos forem possíveis, sejam políticas ou financeiras. Temos total disposição para realizar atividades variadas que possam reforçar o trabalho dos comunistas libaneses no combate a essa tragédia.

Saudamos imensamente os esforços do PCL e também da União da Juventude Democrática Libanesa no auxílio ao povo libanês mais afetado pela situação política do país e desejamos grandes vitórias nas campanhas pela averiguação imparcial do caso, nas lutas em curso contra o regime burguês e pró-imperialista, bem como pela aplicação do programa do PCL para esse momento.

Dear comrades of the Lebanese Communist Party

The Brazilian Communist Party, on behalf of its Central Committee, expresses the most sincere and internationalist solidarity with the Lebanese people, and the Lebanese Communist Party in particular, affected by the tragedy of the explosions in the port area of Beirut.

We understand that, within the difficult time that we are going through, an incident like this hinders national solidarity policies, and could be an opening for neocolonialist, imperialist and foreign interference attempts in Lebanon.

Just like you, Brazilian communists recognize the other two threats to Lebanese workers: the Coronavirus pandemic and the ongoing economic collapse. These threats, integrated by projects of the Lebanese ruling classes and the imperialist sectors that support them, represent great defeats for the workers of Lebanon and, consequently, of the whole world.

In Brazil, the impact of the incident in Beirut had great repercussions due to the fact that our country has the world’s largest Lebanese population.

The Lebanese-Brazilian community is searching for ways to assist (even with financial resources) in measures to contain the damage caused by the tragedy in Beirut and the Brazilian communists, in their historic commitment to workers around the world, will go to great lengths to contribute in solidarity, since we understand that proletarian internationalism is not an abstract community of workers’ interests, but a set of concrete practices of mutual help between our class, regardless of nationality.

The PCB reaffirms its internationalist commitment and the communist commitment to the PCL, making us available for whatever assistance is needed, whether political or financial. We are totally willing to carry out various activities that can reinforce the work of Lebanese communists in combating this tragedy.

We immensely welcome the efforts of the PCL and also of the Lebanese Democratic Youth Union in assisting the Lebanese people most affected by the political situation in the country and we wish great victories in the campaigns for the impartial investigation of the case, as well as for the application of the PCL program for that moment.
